Michael Pollen is a journalist, author, and activist who shares his ideas about how food should be treated as a healthful source of nutrition.  He has written books on eating well with simple ideas to complex explanations of why food should be treated with careful consideration.  His new book Cooked explores different modes of preparing foods, the connection cooks have to food, and how we, as consumers, establish more nourishing lifestyles simply by taking food preparation into our own hands.
