The Magic of Reiki Revealed

Last week I was at a Flower Essence workshop, and the topic of Protection came up.  If you have ever felt drained at the end of a day of encountering people with different energies, you know all about the need for protection.  One of the attendees said she had a solution.  Her secret weapon: a prayer / affirmation that she says at the start of every day.  She is a busy practitioner and sees lots of clients.  She told us that when she recites this, she finds herself feeling more energized at the end of a day. She offered to teach it to us.  As she stood in front of the group and started reciting this prayer, it hit me.  Hard.  What she was saying was essentially the basic principle of Reiki practice:

You are not giving any energy to anyone. You are merely a channel through which the infinitely wiser Higher Energy passes.  And as it does, it heals both the giver and the receiver.

The Power is in your hands

I thought back to all the Reiki Circles I’ve been to, and how after doing several attunements, I feel almost giddy with happiness and well-being.  Reiki has a way of subtly transforming lower vibrations into higher ones.  These shifts bring us into alignment with Universal Energy (Rei is a Japanese word meaning Higher Energy and Ki means Life Force Energy).  The result: stress seems to melt away.  We feel relaxed, happy, aware of our self-worth, and empowered.  Perhaps this why Reiki is also so powerful in manifesting.  I always find myself filled with ideas and taking steps towards my goals after a Reiki circle.  Whether you are an advanced practitioner or have never experienced Reiki, you will find a Reiki Circle an energizing and healing experience and a wonderful place to find a community.

Reiki lets you plug into the Infinite Power of the Divine
